The More Play Network · A program of For The Players Foundation

More places to play.
More kids in the game.

We work with schools, neighborhoods, and community partners across Hampton Roads to turn underused space into safe, soccer-ready places where kids can train, play, and belong.

⚽ Youth-first 🌱 Community-powered 🥅 Built for play

How it works

Three steps to activated play.

Every site in The More Play Network follows the same simple process — built on partnership, stewardship, and access.

📍
Step 01

Find the need

We identify communities, schools, and open spaces where more access to soccer can make a real difference.

🤝
Step 02

Build the partnership

We align with local leaders and hosts on access, scheduling, stewardship, and long-term care.

Step 03

Create more play

The result is a welcoming soccer-ready site where kids can train, grow, and play more often.

The Network

What it looks like when it works.

Soccer goal donation event at Blair Middle School

At Blair Middle School, an unused space became a real place to play.

What was once an underused area is now part of the daily rhythm of Blair Middle School — a soccer-ready site where students train, compete, and just get to enjoy the game on their school grounds.

Built through partnership with Norfolk Public Schools and the Blair community, it's the kind of activation that doesn't happen without local support, generous donors, and shared belief that every kid deserves a place to play.

"More access, more touches on the ball, more reasons for kids to fall in love with the game."
