Score More Goals
For Schools & Communities
Our founder, Dr. Christin Golich, coached soccer for years and often trained on grass spaces behind elementary schools. The challenge was always the same — there were no soccer goals to replicate real game situations.
She started Score More Goals™ to change that, ensuring that future coaches and players would have the equipment needed to grow and thrive.
How It Works
-
-
Once a school or community site is approved and added to our website, donations can be directed specifically to that site’s soccer goal fund.
-
For the Players Foundation partners with families, neighbors, other nonprofits, sponsors, and grants to raise the support needed for that school’s soccer goals. Our hope is to cover the majority of the costs through corporate sponsors, grants, and donors — but we also need the community to join in, donate, and help spread the word. Together, we can see each project through. Every donation matters, big or small.
Each school works with our nonprofit to decide on the best size and style of goals for their students, which means costs can vary from school to school. Your donation supports your community and can also propel the next school’s goals where there may be less local support. If donations for one school exceed the purchase price of its goals, the remaining funds will automatically be transferred to the next project site to keep the momentum going. When checking out, you can even let us know if you’d like to be listed as a sponsor.
-
When enough support has been raised, For the Players Foundation provides the school with a simple Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) before any goals are ordered or delivered. The MOU ensures everyone is aligned on the project details — including sizing, delivery, assembly, and care of the goals. Once the MOU is signed, we will post an update on the project’s page to let the community know the goals are officially ready to be ordered at our nonprofit partner rate.
-
When the goals are purchased, we’ll share the news on the project page. The school community will know the order is placed, and we’ll celebrate together with a ribbon cutting and kickoff game!
-
Donors may choose to be recognized publicly as a sponsor on our website, at the school, and at fundraising events. If you prefer to remain private, we will simply list your contribution as “Anonymous.”
At check out, simply check the box that you prefer, remain private or be recognized publicly.
FAQ
-
An initiative by For the Players Foundation to provide full-size, anchored soccer goals to schools and communities. Our mission is to give kids safe, reliable spaces to play, learn, and grow through soccer.
-
This project was created to fill a major gap in access to safe, reliable soccer equipment at schools and community spaces. Too often, kids don’t have goals to practice with at recess, PE, or in their neighborhoods, which limits their opportunities to play, develop skills, and enjoy the game. Our founder, Dr. Christin Golich, coached both advanced and recreational soccer for years and often trained on grass spaces behind elementary schools. The challenge was always the same — there were no soccer goals to replicate real game situations. She started Score More Goals™ to change that, ensuring that future coaches and players would have the equipment needed to grow and thrive.
If donations for a school exceed the purchase price of its goals, the remaining funds will automatically be transferred to the next project site. This keeps the momentum going and ensures every contribution continues to move the initiative forward.
-
The goals are for everyone in the school community. Students will use them during PE, recess, and after-school programs, and they may also be available for neighborhood or community use depending on the school’s guidelines. Each school sets its own access policies, but the goal is always the same — to give kids more opportunities to play in a safe, reliable space.
-
No — For the Players Foundation does not charge families or schools for using the goals. Once a school receives goals, they become part of that school’s equipment and are available for students during the school day and after-school programs. Some schools may choose to make them available for neighborhood or community use as well, but there is never a cost to the families or kids who benefit from them.
-
Schools & community sites are nominated by parents, teachers, or community members. Once the site is approved we will add it to our project list.
-
Each school works directly with our nonprofit to choose the best size and style of goals for their students. Costs vary depending on the type of goals selected.
-
We work hard to secure the majority of funding through corporate sponsors, grants, and major donors. The community plays a key role too — every donation matters, big or small, and helps move each project forward.
-
Once funds are secured, we’ll post an update on the school’s project page to let families know the goals are being ordered. We’ll also celebrate with a ribbon-cutting & kickoff event when they arrive.

Alanton Elementary School
About the Project
On the playground at Alanton Elementary, kids don’t just run—they chase dreams, laughter, and each other. This fall, the school becomes the very first site for our Score More Goals™ initiative. We’re bringing in full-size, anchored soccer goals so students, families, and neighbors have a safe and reliable place to play.
Why It Matters
When the right equipment is in place, the game changes. Students can play more safely, teachers and coaches can foster teamwork, and recess becomes more than a break — it becomes a release. Research shows that active play reduces stress, improves focus, and supports mental health in ways that carry over into the classroom and at home.
At Alanton, a goal is more than two posts and a net — it’s a starting line for stronger bodies, healthier minds, and a community that thrives together.
Direct Your Gift
