Our activation journey
Each site is a story of partnership — schools, coaches, families, and supporters making something real together.
Alanton Elementary School
Our first activation. Soccer goals donated, ceremony held, and a community partnership launched. One boy and one girl took the first ceremonial shots in front of cheering classmates.
Blair Middle School
Two professional-grade 24×8 soccer goals donated, ending a years-long routine where players walked a half-mile each way to a nearby elementary school just to access goals. Featured by Norfolk Public Schools.
Site Three
Our next site is taking shape through ongoing partnerships across Hampton Roads. Want to bring the foundation to your school? Get in touch.
What each program has delivered
Every dollar and donation flows into work that removes a real, specific barrier to play.
The More Play Network
Building and activating soccer spaces at Hampton Roads schools, parks, and communiities. Goals go in, equipment arrives, programs begin, and a forgotten corner of a campus becomes a field that matters.
Learn MoreThe Teammate Project
Covering registration fees, uniforms, and gear so no child sits out because of what their family can or cannot afford. Every player sponsored is a kid back on the field.
Learn MoreCleats for Kids
Collecting and redistributing gently-used cleats to youth players across Hampton Roads. A pair sitting in a closet becomes the pair a kid needed to finally join the team.
Learn MoreWhere the support comes from
Cash raised through community giving, plus in-kind contributions from partners that multiply our reach.
Goals, equipment, HRSC donations, raffle support, and partner contributions that make every activation possible.
$3,550 for the mission and $690 for the Teammate Project™. Every dollar funds the next site, the next player, the next field.
Our partners
Hampton Roads Soccer Council
Ten 24'×8' aluminum goals — the foundation of every activation we've completed and every site to come. With special thanks to Lauren Bland, Executive Director, and Matt Whalen, Director of Operations & Director of U.S. Open.
Featured our Blair Middle activation, opened doors for ongoing partnership, and helped tell the story of what access looks like.
Welcomed our first activation at Alanton Elementary and championed the foundation's work across the district.
Community partner showing up for activations and supporting youth soccer development in Hampton Roads.
Bringing collegiate energy and mentorship to school activation events and youth programming.
The work isn't finished.
There are more schools, more kids, more fields that could come alive. If you'd like to help build what's next — through a donation, a sponsorship, or by bringing the foundation to your school — we'd love to talk.
